GPS Links employs a range of testing methodologies to ensure that software and systems fully meet the requirements for safety, functionality and quality.
Simulation testing allows complex algorithms to be safely tested by replicating the performance characteristics of drives, actuators and sensors on the bench, avoiding risks to people plant and environment, and reducing the risk of changes and modifications further down the line
Software is tested in-depth on and off the panel at iFAT cFAT and cSAT to ensure it meets customer specifications.
At the commissioning stage, every cable, network signal, device address and setting, is tested against actual operating parameters to precisely calibrate and tune control functions to ensure they perform as expected in real world conditions; including alarms, emergency shutdown and standby, and full operation in automatic and manual modes.
Better connectivity allows GPS Links to provide remote commissioning and maintenance services where an off-site fix can get a plant back on line very quickly, and engineering time is restricted to software rather than attending full process commissioning.
